our story
More than merch. A Livelihood
Every piece from DAEOOKWEH (DOK) Apparels carries a story of culture, opportunity, and hope.
Founded by Teacher Eh Hser, DOK was created with a mission to provide a sustainable source of income for her students while celebrating the richness of Karen culture. Working alongside her students, she helps design apparel that blends the simplicity and heritage of Karen traditions with the clean, sophisticated style of modern fashion.
As more students graduate each year, many face limited employment opportunities—especially those without identification documents, making it difficult to secure stable work. DOK was established to help bridge that gap by creating meaningful jobs and introducing students to entrepreneurship.
Each year, DOK selects five student interns to help manage the business. Through hands-on experience in design, marketing, customer service, and daily operations, these students gain practical skills and valuable insight into running a business.
When you shop the DOK Collection, you're not just purchasing clothing—you are supporting student entrepreneurs, celebrating Karen culture, and investing in opportunities that create lasting impact.
Wear the Culture. Empower the Future.
